Monday Morn Edit! - The hop is over, I hope you enjoyed it. Come back and visit often. I do plan on posting often, I promise!
Wow, it's great to be participating in another Stampin' Addicts' Blog Hop. I have woefully neglected my blog, so this is helping get my focus back on it. The hop will run from 9am pacific time today til midnight Sunday.
You probably came here from Barbara's blog where she highlighted the Sending Love Speciality DP and the I {Love} Love wheel. Or, you may have gotten here via Krystal's blog featuring the Scalloped Heart Embosslit (LOVE those!). Either way...I'm so glad you're here now!! There are more than 20 demonstrators participating in this hop...so you're sure to see some awesome projects, and have a lot more to add to your upcoming shopping list.
I am focusing on the I {Heart} Hearts stamp set. I bought it in the Clear Mount option...wonderful to have that option now. Here's a picture of the stamp set case..it clearly shows what the set includes (true to size), and on the spine of the box are thumbnails of the stamps...AWESOME!
My first project I am showing you is a desk calendar. Pretty simple to make, but really looks impressive as a gift! I gave several of these away as presents...the recipients were VERY happy with them~
I used the specialty paper from the Occasions Mini (cool bling)...as well as Pretty in Pink taffeta ribbon, ink and cardstock. If you notice behind the 'friend' heart image I've layered the Scallop Heart Embosslit. I stamped the filigree heart/dotted outline heart in Melon Mambo.
The second item is a simple Birthday card using several of this year's in colors, as well as the Birthday sentiment in the new Well Scripted stamp set.
My final project to show you is a set of 2" by 2" tile magnets. It is a very quick and easy giftable item. Well, once you (or in my case, have your husband) drill out holes in the back for the magnets!! I just stamped assorted heart images in different in colors...then ran the edges of the tiles over my ink pad...and done!
Once again, I made several of these...using many different stamp sets...and gave them as quick little 'thinking of you' Christmas gifts. I think I'll be holding on to these to gift at Valentines. Put one in a small cello or glassine bag, present it along with a cute 3 x 3 card and I'm sure the recipient will think it's great!
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of the hop! The next stop is: the hop is over! :(
Oh, and Happy New Year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love your projects - those little tiles are super cute!!

Some great new ideas for this set!

The calendar sure is cute, but what really caught my eye was the card. So often you're used to just seeing reds/pinks with hearts - this project is a great use of other colors to compliment the hearts - great job!
